This is a natural coffee that has all the candied fruit and boozy warmth to get you through the cold, darker days of winter!

Alex Ponce has been surrounded by coffee since he was a boy, growing up on his father's coffee farm.

After years of working in the clothing industry Alex purchased a property from his uncle and began planting coffee there the following year. Alex's dad currently lives with him on the farm, and manages operations when Alex is not there.

Increasing the number of raised beds has allowed for more space for drying coffee, particularly during the cloudier days during the harvest season. This naturally processed lot makes the most of these raised beds filled with ripe cherries on the day they are picked. The team rake the cherries every 30 minutes to ensure uniform drying, maximising fruit notes alongside the boozy notes whilst preventing over-fermented notes dragging cup quality down.

We think this coffee has notes of raspberry, cranberry and redcurrants, which are backed up with Concord grape flavours (Concord grapes aren't that common on this side of the Atlantic but they are the basis for the grape flavouring you find in grape sodas and are used in that most American of toast toppings - Grape Jelly!).

The boozy notes in this naturally processed Honduran are deep, but work really well alongside the sweetness and orange note that had several people saying it really reminded them of an Old Fashioned.

Grind: If you need your coffee ground, select on the dropdown. Let us know in the "Special Instructions" if there is any other specific brew method you need the coffee ground for.
