La Danta is a stunning example of a coffee which is round and sweet and also paired with soft fruit notes that leads to an approachable complexity. Choosing our top three flavour highlights wasn't easy on this one. We had apple turnover, almond croissant, soft caramel, white chocolate blondie, stone fruits of all sorts...this is a delicious washed coffee which clearly demonstrates the care and attention undertaken at El Rincón farm.
La Danta is a lot from the El Rincón farm, which is one of the farms from Guatemalan coffee producers & exporters, Vides 58. The Vides family are now 4th generation coffee producers, they have some great information and videos more specifically from their farm Finca La Bolsa (the oldest of their 3 farms) on their website here. The Vides' commitment to people and sustainability lines up with our own values and is something evidenced in their own school where they educate the children of coffee harvesters and processors.
