Mártir - Colombia (250g/1kg)

Mártir - Colombia 250g/1kg

Toffee | Red Apple | White Chocolate

We're sticking around in the Huila region of Colombia for our next main coffee offering; Mártir is a group of 20 families, led by Didier Javier Pajoy.

All the producing farms in the Mártir group are organic, or in transition to organic, with Didier providing help with the production of organic fertilisers and in the post-harvest processing of the coffee.

The producers of the Mártir association are paid directly, rather than through legal entity representing them (as would be common practice) which allows maximum transparency to ensure they are paid what they deserve.

This lot from Mártir is a perfect everyday-drinker, with toffee sweetness, crisp red apple notes to bring some brightness with it all being underpinned by a white chocolate sweetness. In tastings of this coffee our team has been reminded of highland toffee bars, Milkybar Choo bars and toffee apples - this probably says more about our diets than the coffee, but we think they're all positive descriptions and that this is a great coffee to enjoy all day long.
