Shipping Update: Royal Mail Strikes (Sept 2022)
Please be aware of Royal Mail strikes which are happening through August, September & October. Details of these strikes and the effects on Royal Mail services are updated on royalmail.com. Currently, the Communication Workers Union has called on its members who collect, sort and deliver parcels and letters to take strike action on 8th & 9th September and 30th September & 1st October 2022. This will impact when we can ship items as well as obviously the delivery with knock-on effects of deliveries in the times surrounding these dates.
We are continuing to operate on these dates, but anything selected for Royal Mail shipping will be passed to Royal Mail on the next available day after strike action. We will update the banner on the website during these days, but we do ask for a little more patience than normal throughout this time.
Royal Mail are a key delivery partner for us. Even though we have experienced some difficulties with, often sporadic, delays at times over the last two years we still value the service that is provided when it works. That's down to the hard work of the people who work there and we hope things are settled in terms of fair wages as soon as possible!
In the meantime, if you need coffee delivered urgently we'd recommend choosing DPD at checkout. If you can't wait and you can get in to the cafe in Belfast, we always have fresh coffee stocked up there ready to be picked up. If you're in/near Ballymena, go to the lovely folks at Middletown Coffee, or in Ballycastle you can pick up a bag from Ursa Minor. There are a few more places that might have it, so drop us a line and we can tell you where else might work. On that note, if you think your local coffee shop or retailer should stock our coffee, badger them about it and tell them to get in touch!
Thanks as always for your support and patience,
